Paul Richardson is a photographer, videographer, author, and marketing consultant.
Born and raised in Southern California, he graduated from Central College (Pella, Iowa) and went to graduate school at Indiana University, Bloomington (MA in Political Science and a Russian Area Studies Certificate). In 1989 and 1990, he lived and worked in Moscow, running one of the first successful Soviet-Western joint ventures, a publishing company based in Moscow.
Richardson founded StoryWorkz in 1990. The company has gone through many transformations over its 30+ year history, yet its core activity has always been helping people tell better stories. For the past decade, that storytelling has increasingly had photography and videography at its core.
Richardson is an award-winning editor and image maker, and his photo and video work has been published in numerous local, regional, national, and international media outlets and publications, and on national news programs. He has also authored several books, including Driving Down Russia's Spine, The Spine of Russia, Resilience: Life Stories of Russian Centenarians Born in the Year of Revolution, and Running is Flying.
He is a member of the board of directors of Elevate Youth Services.
