Vermont Porchtraits Project

A Benefit to Aid the Homeless

  • Sep 1, 2020

While we sheltered in place, many Vermonters donated something for those with no place to call home (and got a family portrait in the bargain)

We had a lot of fun capturing this moment in time and creating Porchtraits of Central Vermont families.

As Vermont has gone back to work, we have wound down this project. We raised over $4000 from 65 Families in Montpelier, Barre, Northfield, Waterbury, Berlin, Graniteville, and Vergennes. And our project got a bit of press coverage in the Times Argus, VT Digger, Parade, and the Washington Post.

ASKED OF THE PARTICIPANTS

Tell us something about your time in The Great Pause, something you have learned to appreciate anew, something you have learned about yourself and your family, or your community, something that gives you hope in these strange and difficult times.
