Darryl Garland

Darryl Garland is a brand strategy and creative director who turns messages into movements by focusing on each project’s purpose.

Darryl’s love for advertising began with his high school summer job as the owner of a hot dog stand: Darryl’s Delectable Dockside Dogs. He served a good hot dog, but even better promotion.

That experience led him to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Sciences, Graphic Design from Lyndon State College (now Vermont State University), and an MBA, Marketing from Arizona State University.

For the first 10 years of his professional career, Darryl served advertising and marketing agencies across the US, offering strategic brand identity, distinctive design, and creative direction for clients that included Coca-Cola, Harley-Davidson, Dreamworks and Puma.

Over the past 15 years, he has brought this perspective – combined with market research, media buying and analysis, and branding oversight – to corporate America as a director of digital branding, director of corporate communications, and director of brand strategy for a financial services company whose sales grew more than 400 percent during his tenure.

When he’s not putting out fires for clients, Darryl is putting out actual fires as a volunteer firefighter.
