She said she was from Atlanta, but her accent sounded a bit forced. I wondered if she, like all of us, is really from California, but pretending to be from somewhere else. She hadn’t had a portrait done for quite some time, she said, and wanted a “darker,” more intimate look. She also insisted on freshening up a bit before we started. The rinse hadn’t quite dried before we started, but we agreed the final result was really nice. Our collaboration definitely bore fruit.
