Composite Group Photos

This will make your job easier

Capturing a great photo of a larger team is not easy. People blink, smiles falter, someone’s hair goes astray, poses go limp… And then there are the scheduling difficulties: getting everyone together a the same time in the same place can be a nightmare.

And what happens when you have a new team member, or when someone departs the team (inevitably right after the group photo is taken)?

We can make all those aches and pains go away.

StoryWorkz solves the Team Group Shot Problem using a combination of art and technology. Our solution will:

  • make sure everyone looks great,
  • eliminate scheduling hassles, and
  • future-proof your group photos, so that adding or subtracting people is easy and painless.

The Composite Solution

If you are already working with us on Team Headshots, we can simply add Composite Shots as a part of each person’s session. We’ll shoot them in multiple angles and poses (usually three; we generally shoot from the knees up), so we have a few great options that each person loves.

Then, using our Photoshop expertise, we extract people from their backgrounds so that we can easily group people, overlapping them as need, and create a realistic-looking shot of the entire team (also great for departmental groupings, etc.).

Benefits

  • No scheduling woes: you don’t have to get everyone together in the same place at the same time. We can take everyone’s shot when they come in for their headshot, or we can schedule separate, individual sessions.
  • No blinkers or bad expressions: we take multiple shots of everyone in several different poses (to give us options in compositing), and everyone gets to select the best images of themselves to go into the pool of images from which the composite will be crafted.
  • Easy adds and subtracts: if, after your group image is created, you add a new team member or if someone leaves, we can easily Photoshop the final image to accommodate. New team members just pop by the studio (when getting their matching Team Headshot or otherwise). And we keep everyone’s different poses on file, so it’s easy to reconfigure and make a new final group shot, moving people around as need be to retain balance in the photo.

Cost

The cost for this service varies depending upon whether it is done alongside the shooting of Team Headshots in studio, or as a separate shoot. There is also a modest fee for each Photoshop iteration of the group image (either the initial composite, or adding / removing a team member).

Indicate interest in this service when filling out our Team Headshot Questionnaire, and we can quote its inclusion in the project.
