To accommodate as many students as possible, each mini-session will last just five minutes. But, since we have a well-organized system for this, we will be able to capture several nice portraits of your student.
All images will be retouched and delivered to private, individual student galleries. The link to the gallery will be sent to the email used during registration.
These will be classic, high-quality half-body vertical portraits against a dark grey background.
These sessions are available for a $50 donation to GMYS (donations may be tax deductible, check with your accountant). The donation is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable. All proceeds from this fundraiser - minus credit card fees - will be donated to GMYS.
If wifi in the Barre Opera House is cooperative, your images will be delivered almost immediately to a secure private gallery, the link being sent to your registered email address. If wifi is unwilling, you will get them later in the day, after the event concludes.
Your donation includes the mini session plus one retouched image you select from your gallery for download. Other retouched images will be available for an additional fee of $25 per photo.
Your student should be dressed in unwrinkled concert formal dress with their instrument. Hair and outfit should be sorted out (shirt tucked or untucked as required; hair combed, etc.). We will have a photo assistant there to help with small tweaks.
To minimize distractions, to keep the flow of students smooth, and to ensure that expressions and posing are as natural as possible, parents will not be allowed "on the set." No exceptions.
All images will be lightly retouched to remove most fly-away hairs, glasses glare, acne, and blemishes.
There will be no time for outfit changes or excessive primping on the set. Five minutes goes quickly, and we will aim to get 2-3 nice poses for each student.
